Lie-Nielsen bench chisel 7/8″ - 22 mm
article number: 22519Product information
The Lie-Nielsen chisel is based on the Stanley chisel. The 230 mm long chisel is made of A-2 steel that has been cryogenically hardened. The sides of the chisel are parallel and narrow, allowing you to chop perfectly even in narrow spaces. The Lie-Nielsen chisel is sharpened at an angle of 30°, but this must be adjusted depending on the use and type of wood.
If you sharpen the chisel regularly, the chisel will remain sharp longer and sharpening of the chisel will be required less often.
NB! This chisel model traditionally has a loose handle. You will not experience any inconvenience during use, it often gets stuck on its own. Because wood and metal can work, it can happen that the wood snaps due to temperature differences (if the handle were made too tight to the metal), which is one reason why this old model has a loose handle.
