Product information

The Lie-Nielsen Plane #48 is ideal for planing edges and grooves flat and to a perfect fit. The 19 mm (3/4") wide plane features a guide on one side, allowing you to plane accurately along an edge. This ensures not only the correct depth in a groove, but also that it runs parallel to the edge.

The ideal wood thickness for planing is 19 mm, but thicker and thinner stock (not thinner than 14/15 mm) can also be used.
